Central Station Monitoring
Your Alarm System is only the beginning
Not all Central Station Monitoring is the same.
When considering having your security system or fire system monitored by a central station
it is important to consider the level and quality of service that you will be receiving. A
cheaper price doesnt necessarily mean a better deal, but instead may mean a reduced
level of service.
Argus has set a high standard when it comes to servicing our customers. We recognize
that providing effective monitoring services requires much more than just "getting
the police there in a hurry."
Here is a sample of standard services we at Argus provide to our monitored customers:
- Opening after alarm follow-up.
The first time you disarm your security system after an alarm we call to verify who
is on site and take the time to update you on what happened in your absence. We will stay
on the line with you until you are certain all is okay.
- Central station service ticket generation.
Any time you have an alarm and you are not sure of the cause, our dispatchers
immediately set up a service request in our computer. Our service department will contact
you that same day or the next working day to see if there is anything we can do to help
you. If we cannot reach you within three days we send a letter to let you know that there
is a possible service problem with your system. It is our feeling that it should be our
responsibility to take care of your security system.
- Periodic newsletters. This newsletter is sent to all our customers to keep them informed of new
products, services, and safety ideas that will help them get the most out of their
security investment.
- Ninety day test request. A letter advising you to test your
security system is sent when your system has not reported to our central station for
ninety days. This insures that your system will report to us in the event of an alarm.
- Home Fire
Monitoring.
Every Argus Home Security System has the ability to incorporate a fully
supervised fire alarm system. What this means is that we can design a fire
system that includes smoke detectors for the sleeping areas, heat sensors
for the kitchen and the garage, as well as heat sensors for the attic. In
the event of a fire, the security system sirens will sound with a unique
tone to indicate that there is a fire, and a signal will be sent to our
central station with our fire monitoring service that tells us
specifically that there is a fire at your residence.
These added services and our overall commitment to customer satisfaction are what
allow Argus customers to enjoy one of the highest levels of service and one of the lowest
false alarm dispatch rates in the alarm industry.
